When you click Save, you click a simple file save dialog to send a display recording GIF, which also provides some advanced settings for recording, can set the intro frame, record the mouse, display the elapsed time, and specify whether the GIF should be played or not (the default setting is set to play). Launch the application, then drag the save window to the area of the screen you want to convert to GIF, size the save window appropriately, select the frame rate (default and reasonable 8 FPS), and then click “Save” to begin.
